A prominent Biafra agitator, Simon Ekpa has slammed the Nigerian Army for their ongoing cyber warfare exercise - ‘Crocodile Smile VI’.
On October 17, 2020, the Army announced it would begin a nationwide exercise codenamed ‘Crocodile Smile VI’ later that month.
“The Exercise is deliberately intended to be all-encompassing to include cyber warfare exercises designed to identify, track and counter negative propaganda in the social media and across the cyberspace. This is the first-ever Cyberwarfare exercise to be conducted in the history of the African Armed Forces,” the Army had said at the time.

Rubbishing a Twitter update by Ayodele Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State about terrorists capturing a military base in Borno State overnight on Friday into Saturday, the official Twitter account of the Nigerian Army on Sunday in their usual manner branded it "fake news".
This is after AFP news agency said two sources confirmed the attack to them.

Reacting to the Nigerian Army's activities on social media, Ekpa branded their latest rebuttal "the highest absurdity".
"The Nigeria terrorist Nigerian Army have no shame at all they call the Boko Haram seized of Military base in North-East a fake news!" Ekpa wrote on his known Twitter handle on Monday.
"This is the highest absurdity. We will open video to you Terrorists army very soon."
