Top Losers In Recent Decline Of Nigerian Stock Market Includ

The Nigerian Exchange (NGX) closed in the red at the end of Friday's trading session.

The All-Share Index (ASI) traded -0.01% down to close at 59,206.63 index points as opposed to 59,211.26 index points registered in the trading session the day before.

The market value of shares decreased by only N4 billion to settle at N32.237 trillion, or -0.01%, less than the N32.241 trillion seen in the previous trading session.

RTBRISCOE (10.00%) led gainers, Unity Bank (-9.84%) led losers, and LivingTrust Plc was the most actively traded share by volume at the closing of today's session.

627.87 million units of shares were exchanged today, up 1.94% from the previous day's session.

The following market indexes were present throughout today's trading session: When compared to the previous ASI of 59,211.26 points, the NGX ASI at 59,206.63 points shows a tiny reduction of -0.01%, while the year-to-date percentage is at +15.53%.

With 627.87 million shares changing hands in 6,953 transactions for a total value of N9.15 billion, the market capitalization hit N32.237 trillion.

RTBRISCOE, TRANSCOHOT, FIDSON, NASCON, and CORNERST all registered notable increases of 10.00% and 9.91% on the NGX (Nigerian Exchange), resulting in closing prices of N0.44, N17.60, N12.87, N18.70, and N1.22 per share, respectively.

UNITYBNK, WAPIC, MCNICHOLS, ETI, and NEM were among the biggest losers on the NGX (Nigerian Exchange), with falls of -9.84%, -9.57%, -9.46%, -9.09%, and -9.09%, respectively, leading to closing prices of N1.10, N0.85, N0.67, N14.00, and N6.30 per share.

The three equities with the greatest trading volumes were GTCO (49,510,148 shares), LIVINGTRUST (113,004,171 shares), and UBA (62,685,403 shares).

GTCO reported the greatest value of N1,547,890,747, followed by ZENITHBANK with N1,159,723,529 and UBA with N714,370,329 in terms of dollar amounts.
