Total Nigeria Agrees To Pay Dividend To Shareholders, Reveal

Total Nigeria has announced that the company's shareholders will receive dividends for the year ended December 31, 2020. The oil company disclosed this after Total Nigeria's Board of Directors approved the payment of dividends during their meeting on Wednesday, May 14, 2020.

According to a statement sent to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) and seen by AllNews, Total Nigeria Board of Directors approved the payment of a dividend of N6.71 per share, the statement signed by the Company Secretary, Bunmi Popoola-Mordi revealed. The Board of Directors also approved the Audited Financial Statements (AFS) for the year ended December 31, 2019.

It was also disclosed that Total Nigeria’s Unaudited Financial Statements (UFS) for the period ended March 31, 2020, was approved at the meeting, "Total Nigeria Plc wishes to notify the investing public and The Nigerian Stock Exchange that the Company’s Board of Directors met on Wednesday 13th May 2020 as scheduled; considered and approved the Audited  Financial  Statements  (AFS) for the year ended 31st December 2019 and recommended the payment of a  dividend of ₦6.71 (Six Naira  Seventy-One Kobo only)per share.

"The Board also approved the Company’s Unaudited Financial Statements (UFS) for the period ended  31st March 2020. The  Directors further directed the  External  Auditors to finalize certain aspects of  AFS  to enable Management to release the accounts to the public. The AFS and the UFS would be released to the public on or before 15th May 2020."

AllNews gathered that the Audited Financial Statements and the Unaudited Financial Statements will be made public on or before May 15, 2020.
