Tottenham Confirm Signing Clement Lenglet On Loan From Barca

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of French defender Clement Lenglet from Barcelona on a 1-year loan deal till 2023.

Clement 27 has fallen on the pecking list at Camp Nou with the rise of Ronald Araujo and the signing of Spanish defender Eric Garcia.

To gain more playing time and maybe to free the salary cap at Barcelona, he has been sent out to English side Tottenham.

Tottenham finished 4th on the Premier League standings last season so they will be playing in the UEFA Champions League which would allow experienced Lenglet the opportunity to help Antonio Conte's side.

The loan deal does not include an option-to-buy yet but if he performs well, Barcelona may be tempted to sell permanently to Tottenham or recalled him back to Spain.
