Tottenham overcome Brentford in Premier League fixture

Tottenham Hotspur defeated visitors Brentford City 3-2 in the Premier League contest with referee David Coote officiating the match.

The visitors Brentford took the lead in the 15th minute as Neal Maupay fired his Brentford side into a 0-1 lead in the contest.

Despite all attempts from both sides especially the host to get a goal before the intermission, it wasn't to be as it finished 1-0 in favour of Brentford at the break.

After the restart, defender Destiny Iyenoma Udogie scored in the 48th minute to bring the score level at 1-1.

A minute later it was 2-1 as Brennan Johnson scored courtesy of an assist from German new signing Timo Werner.

Brazil's Richarlison made the game safe at least with the third goal as it became 3-1 in the 56th minute of the contest.

Ivan Toney scored in the 67th minute to reduce the deficit to 3-2 for Brentford City.

But despite the frenetic finish to the encounter given Ivan Toney's goal that made it 3-2 for Brentford City, Tottenham held firm to secure all three points in this Premier League match.
