Tottenham vs West Ham: Match Preview, Build-up, Team News, K

Tottenham faces West Ham in an all London derby affairs as David Moyes team travels to meet Jose Mourinho side on matchday 5 of the EPL fixtures.

AllNews understands that both teams are just a point apart and a win to either would be crucial to stay above the top 10 line mark in the present EPL 2020 table.

Tottenham currently sits 7th on the EPL table with 7 points from the available 12 points; winning 2 drew 1 and lost 1. West Ham sits at 10th winning 2 and losing 2; 6 points from the available 12 points.

Tottenham (EPL Build-up)

Jose Mourinho went into the International break on the back of a ruthless win at Old Trafford as Jose dismantled the home of his former employer, Manchester United in a 1-6 win.

United stood no chance after the dismissal of Anthony Martial in the first half as the defense was in shambles.

Tottenham had to play 4 consecutive games in a span of 8 days in the Carabao Cup, Europa League play-offs, and the EPL.

Yet, the side showed no signs of slowing down in the match as they came from 1-0 down to beat Manchester United.

Son-Kane combination is a new alliance that has profited the hotspur as they had already scored over 8-9 goals between them.

The combination was obvious against Southampton as they both were involved in 4 goals in a single match.

The signing of Gareth Bale into the team and Sergio Reguilon at the back wing has helped Tottenham going forward, though the Welsh player is yet to play on the field due to injury.

The 2018-2019 UEFA Champions League man of the match, Bale could be unleashed against West Ham as he is ready and fit to play.

Serge Aurier has also been instrumental at the back; pushing forward and also dropping back to assist with aggressive defending instincts.

He had a wonderful international break as he was given the captain of the Ivorian team which shows his club performance has not gone unnoticed.

Other players who are in doubt are Lo Celso, Steven Bergwijn.

Other Tottenham players who had wonderful international duties are; Moussa Sissoko for France, Sanchez for Colombia, Sergio Reguilon for Spain, and Gedson for Portugal U-21.

The morale is also high with most of the players back from the International break and those who did not go are already back in training ahead of the London derby.

The last time the two sides faced at the White Hart Lane, something just for memory juggling

Tottenham probable Line-up

Hugo Lloris (GK), Dier, Sanchez, Aurier, Reguilon, Hojberg, Sissoko, Ndombele, Lamela, Son and Harry Kane

Subs - Joe Hart (GK), Alderweireld, Lucas Moura, Doherty, Ben Davies, Gareth Bale, Alli.

West Ham (EPL Build-up)

West Ham is heading into the game with high morale too, after defeating and halting Leicester City winning streak right at the King Power Stadium on matchday 4 with a 0-3 scoreline.

To compare based on the team played, West Ham faced a more difficult opponent than Tottenham and it could even be said that the red card added to the easy ride for Jose's men.

The Hammers, on the other hand, did a hard job to defeat Brendan Rodger's men at their home and the margin also tells a story about this new side.

Their coach, David Moyes has been sidelined due to the COVID-19 infection but he should be fine and present on the line for the match at the Tottenham.

In the EPL, West Ham has scored 8 goals in 4 matches with 4-0 against Wolves, 0-3 against Leicester the major highlights of their present campaign.

Wolves, Leicester City are formidable adversaries and they cruised past them with at least 3 goals difference - it shows how free-scoring they can be in a game.

On International duties, Yarmolenko was instrumental to Ukraine win over Spain in a 1-0 thriller, after he sent a lovely pass for Tsygankov, as he finished off the out-rushing De Gea in style with 14 mins left on the clock.

He also captained the Ukraine national team and his left foot could be calamitous to Tottenham.

Declan Rice also played for England, his ball control, game read, and organization in the middle of the pack was helpful for the Three Lions when they faced FIFA ranked 1st team in the world, Belgium in the UEFA Nations League.

Other players like Soucek linked up with a teammate, Vladimír Coufal during the International break at the Czech Republic training camp.

The new signing, Craig Dawson will likely be used as a sub in the game but his presence would count a lot in the West Ham backline.

He also is no stranger to the Premier League since he played for Watford last season before relegation.

The West Ham goalkeeper, Fabianski has also been able to keep 3 clean sheets - Wolves, Leicester City, and Italy. He would be returning into the London derby with high morale.

As with all London derby, it would be tough to watch with all team going at it.

West Ham Probable Line-up

Fabianski (GK), V. Coufal, Balbuena, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Masuaku, Fornals, Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek, Bowen, Antonio

Sub - Randolph (GK), Mark Noble, Yarmolenko, Lanzini, Anderson, Haller, Johnson
