Tottenham Will Continue To Push To Reach Top Four - Stellini

Tottenham's interim manager Cristian Stellini has given assurances that his side will strive to finish in the Champions League places with the season nearing its end.

Stellini's side are sitting in fifth place with 53 points, three points adrift from fourth-placed Newcastle who have a game in hand.

They will be in action against Newcastle on Sunday in the race to finish in the top four. 

Asked whether defeat to Newcastle will end their top-four hopes, Stellini said: "I think until the maths gives us reason to stop believing, until that moment we will continue to believe, continue to push and play to reach [top four]."

He went on to add that his players are ready for their trip to St James Park and will play to emerge victorious.

"We've had one week to recharge after the last game and we had a good week," he added.

"We are well prepared to play this type of game, it will be tough and it is never easy in the Premier League.

"This is one of the worst stadiums to play in terms of the atmosphere power, but we have a good squad and I believe in the players at the club. We are prepared to play."
