Toyin Abraham has spoken out about her alleged beef with Funke Akindele.
A few weeks ago, a movie critic gave Toyin's new film, The Ghost And The Tout Too, a poor review, and Iyabo Ojo, who played the lead in the film, accused Funke of paying the reviewer to write the unfavorable review.
Iyabo went on to say that Funke is always looking for ways to disparage her coworkers. This led to speculation that Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele were feuding.
During an interview, Toyin, however, put an end to the rumors.
Funke Akindele, according to Toyin, is one of the few persons in the Nigerian film business who she admires and respects. She added that whenever they meet in public, she kneels down to greet her.
"She is my senior colleague and someone I respect a lot," Toyin Abraham said. "So, trust me, I have no idea what people are talking about.
"She is one of the few persons in my life who I admire. People don't always grasp that we're colleagues, not family. As a result, you won't be able to communicate with all of your coworkers. We converse and follow each other.
"If I see her, I will kneel down and say, 'Aunty Funke se wa okay?'. A lot of people do not understand that we are working in the same space; we do not have to be close friends. When we see ourselves we greet each other. Forget social media, trust me."
