Tragedy As Man Commits Suicide After Stabbing Wife To Death

A man identified as Femi has committed suicide, after stabbing his wife to death in their residence at Victory park estate in Lagos state.

Allnews understands that the incident occurred on Sunday, June 21, a day after the couple was spotted jogging together.

Report from residents said they moved into the estate some weeks back and Femi had always questioned the paternity of their second child.

Neighbours were said to have complained about loud music from the couple’s apartment, after which they summoned the estate office to lodge their complaint.

The estate authorities took to their apartment to appeal to Femi and his wife, they knocked severally, but no response, hence their door was pulled down.

They, however, found the couple dead with the wife’s legs and hands bound together, her mouth shut with cellotape and different kinds of knives were also seen.

Police spokesperson who confirmed this said: “It is true. Homicide detectives have sealed up the place. They have commenced an investigation. The corpse of the man and the woman have been moved to the hospital for an autopsy.

“Two kitchen knives were found there and two bottles of Sniper. The woman had injuries from stabbing while foams were coming out of the man's mouth who is suspected to have taken those Snipers. Investigation is ongoing''
