Train, BRT Accident: APP Guber Candidate Commiserates With Sanwo-Olu, Victims

Chief Abiola Adeyemi, the Action People’s Party (APP) Governorship candidate in Lagos State on Friday sympathised with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the families of victims of Thursday's BRT and train collision in the State.

Adeyemi in a condolence message described the day as a black Thursday for residents of Lagos State where the unfortunate and saddening event occurred.

The APP candidate who wished those injured during the accident quick delivery also prayed for the protection of Lagosian and Nigerians generally. 

“To those that died, may their gentle souls rest in perfect peace. My condolences go to their families. May God Almighty give them the fortitude to bear the huge loss.

“No one and nothing can fill the vacuum created by the loss of these people.

“My heart and prayers go out to their families, the survivors and the Lagos State establishment, where these victims were actively working until their sudden death.

“While we are thanking God for sparing the lives of many involved in the unfortunate incident, we wish those injured quick recovery," she wrote.

AllNews Nigeria reports that the accident took place on Thursday morning when a train collided with a BRT conveying some Lagos State workers and other passengers  at the railway level crossing at the PWD Bus Stop in Oshodi.

The accident has so far claimed seven lives and left many, including school students, injured.
