Transfer: Man Utd Turn To £140M Osimhen After Min-Jae's Deal Completion

Transfer: Man Utd Turn To £140M Osimhen After Min-Jae's Dea

Manchester United are set to pay a hefty sum of £140 million in order to secure the signing of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen this summer.

The deal comes after the club reached an agreement to acquire Osimhen's Napoli teammate, Kim Min-jae.

Osimhen, who has been in outstanding form for Napoli this season, topping the Italian Serie A scorers chart with 23 goals, has emerged as the top target for United's striking department.

The scouting team from Manchester United was present during Napoli's Champions League clash against Milan last month, solidifying their decision to make Osimhen the focal point of their attack in the upcoming season.

With three years remaining in his contract at the Stadio Amando Maradona, the Super Eagles forward has attracted attention from various European clubs, making United one of the favourites to secure his services.

Meanwhile, Kim Min-jae has already made the decision to join Manchester United, despite his recent move to Napoli.

The club has agreed to pay the £43 million release clause in the South Korean defender's contract.

While acquiring Kim Min-jae seems straightforward, negotiations for Osimhen are expected to be more complex, as Napoli does not consider him an untouchable player.

Napoli's president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has expressed willingness to sell Osimhen if an offer exceeding £140 million is received as reported by The Mirror website.
