Transforming E-Learning With Digital Platforms In Nigeria: The 'Educatial' Revolution

In the modern world, digital platforms are revolutionizing the way we learn. With the advent of e-learning, students and educators alike are able to access educational materials and resources from anywhere in the world.

This has opened up a world of possibilities for learning, allowing students to access materials and resources that were previously unavailable.

Thus, with the help of digital platforms, e-learning is transforming the way we learn, providing students with more opportunities to learn and grow.

A team of indigenous software engineers has developed a digital educational platform known as Educatial to promote teaching and learning in primary, secondary and tertiary institutions. 

The solution, which is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) ecosystem platform, was developed in response to the increasing need for online teaching and learning during and post-COVID-19 era.
    
Speaking at the launch, Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Folashade Fisayo, who was represented by the Director of Private School Registration and Coordination, Grace Akinfoyewa, commended the developer for coming up with a digital solution that would revolutionise education in the state and the country at large.
   
According to her, the Lagos State government is also driving digital education across Lagos schools through its e-Curriculum.

“Teachers and students in the state have been introduced to digital learning skills that are driving critical thinking among students,” Akinfoyewa said.       
   
Senior Special Assistant to the governor of Lagos State on education, Dr Adetola Salau, emphasized the importance of infusing technology in education, adding that digitalisation of the education system is an opportunity to develop cognitive resource based mechanism in learners as it brings about the democracy of knowledge where education becomes a collaborative and self-driven enterprise.

In his welcome speech, the Founder of Educatial, Francis Muofunanya, said Educatial was developed as the next-gen EdTech ecosystem, focused on transforming learning for immediate and future generations of students.
   
“Educatial comes with more than 20 uniquely different but interconnected tools that are engaging, effective, impactful, fun to use and at the same time useful in community-led learning.

"Our platform is built to simplify the management of educational institutions, offering a suite of powerful software tools that streamline daily operations, improve students’ outcomes and enhance the overall learning experience,” Muofunanya said. 
   
According to him, the digital solution can offer schools, student management systems, online learning platforms, digital libraries and parent communication portals.

Delivering a presentation of the solution, Digital Strategist and Software Engineer, Celestine Achi, enumerated some of the Educatial product features to include EduSims, which is an integrated information school management system that operates a robust, secure and centralized data information management platform with a suite of portals for parents, students and staff that give schools full control of administrative, academic, admissions, finance and wellbeing information.
