Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has said that any malaria-like symptoms should be considered as Covid-19 and should be treated as such until otherwise proven.

He said, “In this second wave of the current pandemic, any malaria-like symptoms should be considered as COVID-19 virus infection unless and until otherwise proven. Any affected individual with COVID-like symptoms should proceed to any of our public health facilities and/or laboratories to get tested for free."
Sanwo-Olu had earlier appealed to Lagosians to religiously stick to all COVID-19 protocols as the disease is not a hoax as some people claim it is.
He wrote on Twitter, “Lagosians, #COVID19 is not a glamorous disease, neither is it a hoax. You need to follow the safety guidelines to safeguard your friends and loved ones. In the midst of increasing #COVID19 cases, we have some good news from our Infectious Diseases Hospital."
