Tribalism: Why We Should Say No To Warfare — Mr Macaroni

Popular skit maker and actor Mr Macaroni has joined his voice to those expressing displeasure with the ongoing tribalistic comments on the Nigerian social media space.

As citizens get ready to head to the gubernatorial polls on Saturday, many have apparently fanned the embers of tribalism by urging supporters to vote for individuals of a particular ethnic group.

Speaking via his official Twitter page on Monday, Mr Macaroni, who is known for using his skits for social commentary, noted how Nigerians have been living in unity.

He appealed to Nigerians not to let those acting on their own interests cause hate among citizens.

"It’s sad to see people sharing inciting content against tribes.

"We have been living together in Unity. Doing business together and marrying ourselves.

"Do not let people because of their own interests cause hate among us.

"Let’s say No To Tribal Warfare! Let us Preach Peace", the post reads.
