Tribunal Upholds Ehanwo's Victory As Councilor Of Obi Ward

The victory of Honourable Aliyu Adamu Ehanwo as Councilor representing Obi Electoral Ward in Nasarawa State has been upheld by the Election Tribunal sitting in Lafia.

Ehanwo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had been declared winner of the October 6, 2021 poll by the electoral umpire, NASIEC. This, however, was challenged by the opposition Zenith Labour Party (APC) over alleged malpractice.

In its ruling on Tuesday, the Tribunal declared that Ehanwo was duly elected as announced by the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission (NASIEC).

The presiding judge, Honourable Miriam Nadabo after reading all that is contained in the Petitioners and Respondents' claims affirmed Ehanwo's victory as the elected councillor of Obi Electoral Ward.
