Troops Receive 10 Surrendered Boko Haram/ISWAP Terrorists in

Troops of the Nigerian Army have received ten terrorists belonging to Boko Haram and ISWAP with their children.

The terrorists were received on Sunday by the 151 Battalion in Bama local government area of Borno state.

According to reports, the terrorists were hiding around Jango Village and Mandara mountains of Gwoza local government area.

Leadership reports that the surrendered terrorists were members loyal to Malam Bakura Salaba who leads a faction of the Boko Haram otherwise known as Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad (JAS).

Meanwhile, Salaba was killed by Shekau's successor, Bakura Buduma recently.

Reports have it that terrorists have been surrendering due to the increased fire in clearance operations by the Nigerian military. 

The troops of Operation Hadin Kai of the Nigerian Army have recorded massive success in the war against insurgents in the North East - yielding the surrender of about 50,000 terrorists between September last year and April, 2022.
