Trouble In Lagos APC As Tinubu Dissolves Political Groups

Trouble In Lagos APC As Tinubu Dissolves Political Groups

National leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, disbanded all political caucus groups within the APC in Lagos State.

This was announced at the meeting of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) in Lagos on Tuesday afternoon at Tinubu's residence, Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi.

Mandate Group, Justice Forum, are the two major groups affected but there are other subgroups like Eko Mandate, Ajumose and others, operating under the two major ones.

According to AllNews findings, the move is related to the current corruption allegations against the embattled speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa.

There are some forces with the APC who want Obasa out and a reliable source within the Assembly alleged that former Osun State governor Raul Aregbesola is behind the move.

Aregbesola has a stronghold in Lagos politics, wielding a major influence in Ifako-Ijaiye local government and Alimosho local government.

However, trouble started when Ifako-Ijaiye was subtly taken from his grip and given to Obasa to oversee politically.
