Trump Finally Cooperates With Biden's Transition Team

Donald Trump has finally decided to allow his team to cooperate with the incoming administration, making the transition process easier.

President-elect Joe Biden has been blocked from a smooth transition, albeit the small steps taken to transition to the White House, by the Trump administration.

Following the November 3 election that saw Joe Biden emerge as the apparent winner of the election, Trump and his campaign team have deployed every offensive attack to prevent the Biden team from transitioning into the White House.

After weeks of sidestepping the issue of transition, the General Services Administration (GSA) has finally acknowledged Biden as the winner of the election.

Trump said of the head of the GSA, “I am recommending that Emily and her team do what needs to be done with regard to initial protocols, and have told my team to do the same.”

Trump's cooperation, however, does not prevent him from continuing his protestation of the election.

The transition process offers the Biden team access to briefing books, agency officials, and other resources of the government, including $6 million.

Emily wrote to Biden, “Because of recent developments involving legal challenges and certifications of election results, I have determined that you may access the post-election resources and services described in Section 3 of the Act upon request.”

The transition would aid the incoming administration to begin work to contain the pandemic, as stated by the executive director of the Biden-Harris transition, Yohannes Abraham.

Abraham said that the transition is a critical step in “getting the pandemic under control and our economy back on track.

“In the days ahead, transition officials will begin meeting with federal officials to discuss the pandemic response, have a full accounting of our national security interests, and gain complete understanding of the Trump administration’s efforts to hollow out government agencies.”
