US President-elect Joe Biden was said to have suffered hairline fractures in his foot, according to his personal doctor.
The event, it was revealed, occurred while Biden played with his dog on Saturday.
Biden's foot, for the next few weeks, will be supported by a protective boot.
His doctors had thought that he had sprained an ankle until further scans supplied more information.
Disclosing the politician's ailment, his doctor, Kevin O'Connor, said,

“He will likely require a walking boot for several weeks.”
Biden received a "Get well soon!" message from his rival at the recently-concluded November 3 election, Donald Trump, who has refused to concede defeat.
Biden will be the oldest person to assume the position of president in the United States.
