Tukur Mamu: DSS Raids Negotiator's Kaduna Residence

Tukur Mamu: DSS Raids Negotiator's Kaduna Residence

The Kaduna residence of Tukur Mamu has been raided by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) in the early hours of Thursday.

Daily Trust reports that the operatives arrived in about 20 vehicles, with a witness calling it a commando-style operation.

It was also revealed that the men searched the house and took away several documents, including phones and laptops.

“They ransacked the house and carted away documents, phones and laptops. Those in the house were ordered to sign a document which they did not read before the officers took it back", the witness disclosed.

The aforementioned news outlet further reported that after the raid on Mamu's residence, they proceeded to his office in Kaduna.

The former negotiator in the Abuja-Kaduna train attack was arrested in Egypt and speaking while on a plane back to Nigeria stated that he was detained in the foreign country for 24 hours.

Mamu has alleged that it was the federal government's intention to keep him in detention as is the case with Yoruba nation agitator Sunday Igboho.

He added that he has nothing to hide and that he is not afraid, saying that he only wants the world to be aware of what is going on.
