PKK terrorists have killed a Turkish soldier during a military counterterrorism operation in northern Iraq.
The National Defense Ministry said on Saturday that the Turkish security forces immediately responded by neutralizing 4 of the PKK terrorists.
The ministry conveyed condolences to the soldier’s family, the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) and the nation.
Turkey launched Operation Claw-Lock in April to target the PKK terrorist group's hideouts in Iraqi regions near the Turkish border.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the United States and European Union and has been responsible for the deaths of more than 40,000 people, including women, children and infants.
