AllNews recalls that there have been protests in Nigeria for over two weeks over police brutality in the country.
Despite the disbandment of SARS on Sunday and the announcement of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) as its replacement, the protests have continued and garnered global attention as individuals, celebrities, and even organizations globally continue to throw their weight in support of the protesters.
#EndSars emoji came up on Twitter after the platform went down for hours and was restored. The glitch was attributed to an inadvertent change made to its internal system.
