The Super Eagles drew Sierra Leone in an 8-goal thriller in the city of Benin, Nigeria on Friday evening. Nigeria were leading 4-1 at the end of half time.
AllNews understands that Nigeria still leads Group L with seven points after drawing bottom-placed Sierra Leone at home.
Alex Iwobi opened up the scoring in the early stages of the match as the Everton player scored before five minutes to give Nigeria the lead, followed by Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen.
Iwobi grabbed a brace before the half-hour mark and Villarreal winger, Samuel Chukwueze made it four for the Super Eagles.

Sierra Leone got a consolation as Kwame Quee scored before the end of the first half to make it 4-1 but the game turned on its head as the one goal was more than a consolation.
Al-Hadji Kamara scored twice and Mustapha Bundu scored once to level the game for the bottom-placed team as they earned a point from the game.
