Twitter Reportedly Working On Undo Send Timer Feature For Tw

A potential animation for Twitter’s long-rumoured “undo send” feature has been discovered by app researcher Jane Manchun Wong, who has discovered many features in Twitter and other platforms through reverse engineering, giving us our best look yet at how it might work.

With this feature, Twitter users will have a brief window in which they can “cancel” the sending of their tweet before it is posted. Also, users will have a five-second window to stop the tweet from being posted. Primarily, it means users can get rid of a tweet with a spelling error or repeated word, which are common with the fast-paced nature of the platform and during live events.

“Undo send” has been a rumoured part of a paid Twitter subscription tier after it was first mentioned in a user survey last year by social media tipster Matt Navarra.

Earlier this year, Bloomberg reported that Twitter is exploring paid subscriptions as a way to reduce its reliance on advertising revenue in response to competition from Facebook and Snapchat. The subscriptions could include access to features like “undo send” and profile customization options, it said. Bloomberg also reported that Twitter was exploring ways for users to pay one another for exclusive content, a feature the company later announced as Super Follows.

Twitter still seems to have no plans to allows its users to edit tweets, which has been a popularly demanded feature by its users.
