Twitter user accused of being arrested by Peruzzi breaks sil

A Twitter user identified as BaddyofLasu who reposted a deleted post of Nigerian singer, Tobechukwu Victor Okoh, popularly known as Peruzzi, has clarified that he was not arrested.

Recall that there has been an ongoing rumour on Twitter (now X) that Peruzzi arrested the netizen after he caused a clash between him and Davido by reposting his deleted post.

Peruzzi had said in the deleted post, "We used to be so close, but because you hear say I Dey pipe your wife you start to give me attitude I don leave your circle sha. Ungrateful Nigga like say if I no write your songs, you for blow.”

The X user had reposted it and stirred reactions. Peruzzi had responded by reposting the tweet with the comment, "Your own go bad gaannnnn."

In a separate tweet, he hinted that the viral screenshot might have been manipulated by the user, stating, "You sabi edit abi? You go edit for me wella. No worry."

The netizen issued a public apology about 24 hours later supposedly after being contacted by the legal team of Peruzzi.

“I apologize for posting an edited tweet which involves Peruzzi and Davido. I take full responsibility for all my actions and I promise it will never happen again. My apologies to DMW management,” he wrote in a new post.

Davido had also thrown shades on Peruzzi after the viral clash, saying, "Throw away the keys" which Peruzzi humorously reposted.

The X user therefore clarified in his new post, "Did I edit the tweet myself? Definitely not. Did I post an edited tweet? Yes I did, unfortunately. Was I arrested today? Definitely not. Do I regret my actions of defamation? Sincerely I do, and I apologize for it again."
