Twitter Web Gets Tools To Remove Unwanted Followers

Twitter Web Gets Tools To Remove Unwanted Followers

Twitter on Monday announced that starting this month, all its users can remove a follower without having to block them.

Twitter said that to activate the feature and stop someone from seeing your tweets in their feed, go to the Followers tab on your profile, click the three-dot menu next to the user in question and select the "Remove this follower" option.

The new feature is part of twitter effort to minimize harassment on the platform. Cutting them in this fashion and muting them will mean they are none the wiser than they're out of the loop.

Also: Twitter is testing a Safety Mode, which automatically blocks accounts that use “potentially harmful language.” The company seems to be making its anti-harassment efforts in a big way by looking into more ways to filter and limit replies.

According to a report, Twitter has removed a pre-processing step that apparently splits the video clip when trying to upload into smaller chunks for easier processing, and that could reduce video quality.
