Twitter Will Allow Organisations To Validate Connected Accounts - Musk

Twitter Will Allow Organisations To Validate Connected Accou

Twitter Billionaire, Elon Musk has announced over the weekend that the company will soon make it possible for organisations to identify Twitter accounts that are connected to them as the new owner of Twitter looks for ways to curtail bogus accounts on the platform.

"Rolling out soon," Musk in a tweet over the weekend said.

"Twitter will enable organizations to identify which other Twitter accounts are actually associated with them."

The social networking company suspended its recently announced $8 blue check subscription programme on Friday because of the proliferation of bogus accounts, and new owner Elon Musk reinstated the "official" badge for some users.

Since the recent roll-out, fake accounts posing as well-known companies have appeared with the blue check, including Musk's SpaceX, Tesla, and Roblox in addition to Nestle, Lockheed Martin, and Nestle.

Musk stated in a tweet from yesterday that Twitter Blue would likely"come back end of next week".

According to Casey Newton, a reporter for the tech website Platformer, Twitter has removed 4,400 of its 5,500 contract employees, with the layoffs expected to have a substantial impact on content moderation and core infrastructure services.
