Two persons have been confirmed dead in a motor accident that happened along the Abakaliki Obubara road in Ebonyi State on Monday.
The Ebonyi Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Sector Commander, Anthony Okore, confirmed the incident on Monday.
"The accident happened on the Abakaliki-Obubara road, precisely at Obubara by Amichi junction."
“The crash involved a Toyota Camry and a motor bike. The Camry could not control its speed, thereby knocking down the Okada rider and its passenger, who died on the spot."
“Both the vehicle and the Okada have been taken to the Central Police Station (CPS) in Abakaliki," he said.
On Monday, atleast six persons were confirmed dead while twelve others sustained varying degrees of injuries in multiple accidents that occurred along the Lagos-Abeokuta road.
