Two Die Trying To Stop Terrorists Attack on Mosque In Kaduna

Two persons, including a mobile policeman have been killed when terrorists opened fire on a mosque in Kimbi village near Randagi in western part of Birnin-Gwari, Kaduna State.

Reports indicate that the victims were shot on Sunday  night inside a mosque during Insha’i prayers, around 7.40 pm.

A statement issued and signed by Chairman , Birnin Gwari Vanguard for Security and Good Governance, Ibrahim Abubakar Nagwari, on Monday, 

Aside the mobile Police man, the other killed has been identified as Ayuba labour who tried to prevent the attack.

According to the statement, the terrorists also abducted an unspecified number of  people in the village.

"Some of the wounded are receiving treatment at Jibrin Maigwari General hospital, Birnin-Gwari and the PHC clinic at Randagi,’’ the statement said.

The Nigerian Police has not said anything about the attack at this time.

Reports from the Kaduna in the past few weeks indicate that Nigerian security is gaining on the terrorists, however, Sunday's attack could be a pointer more needs to be done.
