Two people were feared dead on Tuesday when gunmen attacked an Army checkpoint at Obeagu-Amodu in Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State.
It was gathered that the gunmen stormed the area in two Lexus Jeeps and one Toyota Sienna bus around 7:25 am.
They reportedly opened fire at the combined team of Police and military operatives stationed in the area.
Although the casualty figure is still unclear, a source revealed that at least two persons died in the incident.
Efforts made to get Police's reaction failed as Enugu Police Spokesman, Daniel Ndukwe did not pick up his calls or reply to the message sent to him.
