Two acquaintances, Ibiyemi Anike, aged 27, and Iyabo Ishola, aged 35, faced charges on Wednesday at the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, accused of assaulting a woman.

The two, whose residences were undisclosed, were accused of conspiracy, assault, threats to life, and malicious damage.

Despite the allegations, they both pleaded not guilty to the charges.

According to ASP Anthony Igori, the prosecutor, the incident occurred on April 12 around 2:00 p.m. in the Adebomi area of Ibadan.

The magistrate, Olaolu Olanipekun, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N50,000 each, with one surety each in like sum.

Olaonipekun, thereafter, adjourned the case till May 22 for hearing.
