Two Injured In Lone Car Accident In Osun

Two persons have suffered critical injuries as a result of a lone crash that occurred on Wednesday afternoon along the Ipetu-Ilesa road in Osun State.

Information made available by the Osun Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Sector Command revealed that the crash occurred as a result of overspeeding in the part of the vehicle and also as a result of a burst tyre.

The white Mazda bus with no registration number was also conveying two male adult passengers which included the driver.

It was also gathered that the accident occurred about 8 kilometres from the FRSC base on the road.

The spokesperson of the Osun FRSC Sector Command, Agnes Ogungbemi disclosed that the victims of the lone accident were initially brought to the FRSC base before they were conveyed to a private hospital in Ipetu-Ijesa for treatment.

Ogungbemi while cautioning drivers to drive within the approved speed limits urged for restraining and also to ensure that their vehicles are properly checked and serviced before going on road trips.
