Two Injured In Motorcycle, Car Crash In Osun

Two persons have suffered varying degrees of injuries as a result of multiple road traffic accidents which occurred at Arakeji junction along the Ipetu-Owena highway on Friday evening.

The accident according to the Osun State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), occurred as a result of wrongful overtaking between a blue coloured Toyota Highlander jeep with registration number BDG 728 CX and a Suzuki motorbike.

The victims according to the command were rushed to Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa for treatment.

Agnes Ogungbemi, the spokesperson of the command called on road users to always obey traffic rules and regulations.

She added that since obedience was better than sacrifice, simple adherence to traffic regulations would prevent unnecessary accidents and lead to protecting lives.

Ogungbemi who condemned reckless driving and overtaking prevalent among drivers and riders warned that the road safety watchdog was ready and prepared to deal with traffic offenders.
