Two persons has been reported dead on Thursday after a tanker lost control and crushed 2 taxi cabs and 4 motorcycles in Ibadan.
It was gathered that the accident happened around Mokola Roundabout.
The five people injured were said to have been rescued alive by the officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps and Oyo State Fire Services and have been taken to a nearby hospital.
Uche Chukwurah, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Oyo State confirmed the accident. According to her;
“The accident was caused by speed violation. The tanker crushed two taxi cabs and four motorcycles, which resulted in 2 death."
“The dead ones were taken to the mortuary at the Adeoyo Hospital, while the injured ones were rescued and taken to the University College Hospital, UCH Ibadan."
