U-20 AFCON: Flying Eagles Will Go All The Way To Victory - Bosso

U-20 AFCON: Flying Eagles Will Go All The Way To Victory - B

The head coach of the Flying Eagles, Ladan Bosso, has assured Nigerians that his side is purpose-driven to go for glory at the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt.

This is coming on the heel of his declaration that the opening tie of the seven-time champions at the U-20 AFCON will be difficult.

Bosso's men will meet Senegal in their opening game of the competition on February 19 at the Cairo International Stadium.

Aside from Senegal, the Flying Eagles will face hosts Egypt and Mozambique in Group A to qualify for the next round.

According to Bosso, the plan is to improve the unpalatable 2007 Flying Eagles' performance by excelling in the competition as the champions of Africa.

“We won the WAFU qualifiers in Niger Republic and it’s my wish that we go to the World Cup in Indonesia as the champions of Africa,” Bosso addressed reporters in Abuja.

“That aside, I want to make amends for the 2007 not-pleasant performance of the Flying Eagles. I want to improve on it by going all the way.“

The Flying Eagles are among the favourites to win the competition which will hold from February 19 to March 11.
