U-20 AFCON: Norwich City Players Join Flying Eagles In Camp

Two Norwich City footballers, David Aziaya and Kenny Coker, have joined the Flying Eagles in Abuja ahead of the U-20 AFCON in Egypt.

The Norwich City duo were among the foreign-based players who got an invitation from Flying Eagles head coach Ladan Bosso.

Aziaya and Coker resumed training with the Flying Eagles in Monday's training session.

Aziaya, a goalkeeper, arrived at camp last week but couldn't train with the national team because he was recovering from an undisclosed ailment.

Although, at press time, there was no sign of an injury scare as the 18-year-old Canaries goalie worked out with his teammates.

Coker, on the other hand, has been working off his socks in training ever since he arrived for international duty.

Reports have it that the young forward was monitored by Bosso at close quarters during the recent friendly against Global Peace FC of Jos.

Coker, who made five senior appearances during his time with Southend United, is also eligible for England and the United States.

The Canaries duo will be hoping to make the Flying Eagles' final 21-man squad list for the competition.

It is expected that Bosso will release the list on January 25 before the team embarks on a training tour in Morocco at the end of January.
