President of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau has admonished the Flying Eagles not to rest on their oars having reached the last 16 at the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
It took an impressive 2-0 win over Italy on Wednesday for the Eagles to qualify first in Group D.
The win left smiles on the faces of Nigerians who had their hearts in their mouths before the showpiece.
“I want you to celebrate but to quickly put this behind you and focus on the game against Brazil," Gusau said.
"Nigerians are proud of what you have achieved in qualifying for the knockout stages after only two matches."
He also urged Ladan Bosso's men to seal victory against Brazil in their final group game to sustain their winning mentality.
"But we must sustain the winning mentality, so we have to go for victory against the Brazilians on Saturday," the NFF President added.
“Once the winning mentality is sustained, we can go all the way.”
The match between Nigeria and Brazil is billed for Saturday.
