The U.S. is against Israeli settlement expansions in the Palestinian territories, a U.S. envoy said on Wednesday.
The envoy, Tom Nides said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu knows that the Biden administration's stance is in favour of keeping the "vision of a two-state solution alive."
He said; "We are going to work with the Israeli government, its democratically elected government."
He added that the U.S. administration opposes legalizing Israeli outposts and massive settlement expansion of settlements across the occupied West Bank.
The U.S. ambassador also said that the Israeli government declared that it is going to preserve the status quo in Jerusalem's holy sites.
