The UAE Embassy in China said on Sunday that travelers from China coming to UAE must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test.
The test must be taken no more than 48 hours before their departure.
It added; “As of Sunday, quarantine procedures for all personnel upon entry were scrapped and the UAE now expects travelers from China to present a health declaration upon arrival by filling out a form provided at the Chinese customs port.”
Several countries have imposed virus curbs on travelers departing from China.
This includes France, Italy, and Spain, India, Israel, Malaysia and others.
This comes amid the border reopening by China.
China on Sunday reopens its borders after a 3-year-long isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The country also resumed issuing passports and travel visas for residents, and ordinary visas and residence permits for foreigners.
