UEFA has given a green light to Barcelona, Manchester City, Juventus, and Bayern to play the second leg of the Champions League at their home stadium although it must be behind closed doors.

The body also confirmed that the remaining fixtures which include the quarterfinals, semifinals and the final will be played as a min-tournament in empty stadiums in Portugal.

Juventus vs Olympique Lyonnais ---- Turin

Bayern Munich vs Chelsea ----------- Allianz Arena

Manchester City vs Real Madrid ------ Ethiad

The impact of the coronavirus continues to plague football across the world and the UEFA Champions League is not excluded from the opportunity of European football before fans all but gone for this campaign.

A UEFA statement read: 'Consistent with the principle of sporting fairness and considering that current conditions - all clubs due to play at home the return leg of the round of 16 are currently playing the remaining matches of their domestic leagues in their own stadiums and that traveling is possible without restrictions for the visiting clubs - the UEFA Executive Committee decided that the remaining UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League Round of 16 second-leg matches will be played at the home teams' stadiums.

UEFA understands that fairness is required to balance the odds since the first leg was played at the respective homes in the first encounter and may have contributed to their performance, it is only fair for the second leg to take a due course but behind close doors.

AllNews puts the home advantage into consideration as certain teams are stronger at home while they struggle away teams like Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester City and would require their home turf and serenity even without fans to overcome their counterpart.

Barcelona has not lost away from home since 2012/2013 against Bayern Munich that makes it 6-7 years ago they suffered a defeat at home and recording one of the most exciting comebacks in European football; 6-1 against PSG known as the "Remontada". They have been poor on away front with two consecutive comebacks against Roma (from 4-1 to lose 3-0) and Liverpool (from 3-0 to lose 4-0). The Blaugrana would be happy to take on anybody at the Camp Nou.

Manchester City would be happy to take on Real Madrid at the Ethiad stadium though with a win at the Bernabeu, the Madrid team is fresh with Hazard back into the squad, Pep Guardiola would be happy to face the Los Blancos at their home turf.

Bayern Munich would not mind taking on the blues anywhere with an emphatic 3-0 lead at the Stamford Bridge but taking into account UEFA Champions League promises comebacks they would be happier to take them on at their fortress Allianz Arena.

Juventus lost to Lyon in the first leg of the Champions League, then the Lyon team were not complete due to injury they defeated the Ronaldo lead Juventus, the Old lady would be happy to take on Lyon at their home now that the injured players are back for their opponent.

Other teams that would benefit in the UEFA Europa League are Manchester United and Wolves.

The decision means that Wolves will be able to play the return leg of their Europa League round-of-16 encounter with Olympiacos at Molineux after the first fixture ended 1-1.

Manchester United can wrap up progress to the Europa League last eight tournaments in Germany at an empty Old Trafford, having romped to a 5-0 triumph at LASK back in March

The effect of coronavirus would continue to affect football in this campaign but the UEFA Champions League holds the promise of excitement, comebacks, and demolition of teams.
