UCL: Mbappe double helps PSG ease past Barcelona

Kylian Mbappe scored twice Tuesday night to help PSG reach the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League as the Ligue 1 champions beat Barcelona 4-1 at the Camp Nou to qualify 6-4 on aggregate.

Barcelona won the contest 3-2 in the first leg in Paris

The first half on Tuesday night ended 1-1 with Barcelona scoring in the 12th minute through Raphinha while Ousmane Dembele restored parity five minutes before the break. 

The game was a bittersweet one for the Sapaniards as Araujo was sent off for denying the Parisiens a goal-scoring chance.

Vitinha levelled the agggregate score in the 55th minute as he latched on th ball to hit a perfect low shot that found the bottom right corner.

A moment of controversy with an hour played culminated in the penalty awarded to Barcelona when Joao Cancelo brought down Dembele. Mbappe stepped up and dispatched the ball beyond the reach of Andre Ter Stegen albeit the German shotstopper went the right way.
