UCL: Mbappe's Solo Goal Edges PSG Past Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe's late solo goal edged Paris Saint-Germain over Real Madrid in a very tight affair in the round of 16 first leg at Parc des Prince after Lionel Messi lost the penalty in the game.

Despite the individualistic tags attach to the PSG squad, sometimes in football, it takes a minute of brilliance from a top player to sway the game.

Mauricio Pochettino's men were the better side as they possessed the game for the whole 90 minutes giving Carlo Ancelotti's men no breathing spaces.

Yet, the possession did not yield dividends as Thibaut Courtois saved several chances including a 62nd-minute penalty from the Argentine maestro Messi.

Neymar Jr returned to the side after over two months of injury with the Brazilian winger giving PSG new threats.

Mbappe proved to be the best player for PSG, sending different feelings to the French club capital hierarchies and Real Madrid's as he dashed into the box, lose two markers and round off Courtois with a nutmegged finish.

The goal made the difference for PSG as they prepare to travel to Spain for the return leg of the fixture.
