Victor Osimhen Wins Man Of The Match
Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen scored a brace and a hattrick across two-leg as Napoli secured a spot in the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time in their history after a 3-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday.
The Super Eagles poacher scored on either side of halftime, while Piotr Zielinski added a third from the penalty spot, ensuring a comfortable 5-0 aggregate victory for the Italian club.
Napoli, led by manager Luciano Spalletti, are poised to clinch their first Serie A title in over 30 years, and their season was further bolstered by their progression to the quarter-finals of Europe's top club competition.
Osimhen has been instrumental in their success, having scored an impressive 23 goals in all competitions for one of the most exciting teams on the continent.
Despite Eintracht's absence of suspended forward Randal Kolo Muani, they failed to trouble Napoli, and their fans were involved in serious disorder after travelling to Naples without tickets for away fans being available
