UCL: PSG Quickfire Double To Defeat Basaksehir, Chelsea Sweeps Krasnodar Aside

UCL: PSG Quickfire Double To Defeat Basaksehir, Chelsea Swee

PSG quickfire double through Moise Kean and Mbappe defeated Basaksehir while Hudson Odoi, Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, and Christian Pulisic put four past Krasnodar in the UEFA Champions League early kick-off.

AllNews understands that Hakim Ziyech and Moise Kean scored their first goal in the Champions League for the club in the night.

What matters most is the 3 points collected from the match. PSG will return home with a precious victory despite their second frustrating performance in Group H.

The visitors were looking short of ideas and vulnerable at the back until two crisp finishes from Kean got them out of trouble. Relief rather than joy for Tuchel's side.

The home side has defended brilliantly so far but is absent without leave here as Mbappé's corner found Kean unmarked, five metres from goal. The Italian striker planted his feet and guided a header into the top corner.

In the 79th minute, Mbappe put a cover over the match to prevent any chance of an equalizer or drop-in point.

A tidy finish from the on-loan striker, who controlled an awkward ball into the box that takes a touch off Mbappé, turned and fired a left-footed shot into the net.

A worrying headache despite the win for Thomas Tuchel is that Neymar is out injured.

Krasnodar vs Chelsea

A scoreline much more comfortable than the balance of play suggests, but Chelsea will not care about that.

Until Werner's penalty, this tie was definitely in the balance, but after that went in the visitors turned it up a notch with a couple of lovely goals and a handsome win. Job well-done and now on to a double-header with Rennes, starting in London next Wednesday.

If you could get points for the fighting spirit, the Bulls would certainly deserve to take something from the game.

They were spot on with the mighty visitors for most of the match. Chelsea did not have a great game but they did the most important thing – get three points. And another clean sheet for Mendy, too.

In the 37th minute, Chelsea opened up the game as Ziyech fired a ball to Havertz, who fed Hodson-Odoi on the left.

The Englishman cut in and fired a low ball which somehow squirmed under Safonov into the net.

In the second half around the 76th minute, Pulisic fired a ball, which was adjudged to have hit the arm of Martynovich, leading to a penalty.

With Jorginho out, Timo Werner stood up to take it, he blasted it past Safonov.

Ziyech got on the scoreboard himself as he received that ball from Werner in the box, he fired it into the bottom corner

Christian Pulisic sealed it off with a nutmeg shot through the legs of Safonov after squaring off with Abraham.
