Real Madrid lost a huge advantage to secure a qualifying spot tonight as Shakhtar now needs a win to secure a qualifying spot on goal difference provided Madrid could defeat Monchengladbach.

The first half ended in a 0-0 but Dentinho opened up scoring in the second half. Shakhtar broke from a Madrid corner and though the visitors initially look to have things under control, a defensive mix-up allows Dentinho to sneak in unnoticed and finish past Courtois.

In the 82nd minute, Shakhtar secured all 3 points, with another counterattack, this time it is Solomon, who drives forward with the ball before an unerring low finish past Courtois.

The defeat left Madrid on 3rd with 7 point level with Shakhtar but Donetsk leads on goal difference.

SALZBURG GRABS FIRST WIN, EUROPA LEAGUE HOPE

Salzburg started the game with pressure on Lokomotiv and it took 8 minutes for it to pay off. Rajković and Lystsov blocked Mwepu's shot the ball broke for Berisha and he thumped it into the net.

Berisha made it a brace with just 4 minutes left before the injury time in the first half with a ruthless finishing.

Salzburg won the ball midway inside the Lokomotiv half and Koita's first-time volleyed pass sets, Berisha, through on goal; the left-foot finish was spot on to make 2-0 in the first half.

Lokomotiv seemed back in the game in the second half as they pulled one back with a penalty from Anton Miranchuk - he made no mistake from the spot as the substitute rolled the ball in sending the goalkeeper the wrong way.

Then Salzburg killed off the game with a late goal from Adeyemi, the German scored his first European goal in his career.

The teenager fully exploited Murilo's slip and took on Ćorluka, turning the Croatian one way then the other and then fired low into the net.
