UEL: Nantes Hold Juve To Draw, Sevilla Crush PSV

Juventus was held to a 1-1 draw by Nantes in the home leg of their Europa League playoff tie, continuing their disappointing season while Sevilla crushed PSV in Seville.

After only winning one of their six Champions League group matches and being deducted 15 Serie A points for financial irregularities, Juventus fans have suffered through a miserable campaign.

The playoff match provided some relief for the Turin giants, who faced a side ranked 13th in the French Ligue 1.

Juventus took an early lead through Dusan Vlahovic's goal but missed several opportunities to extend their lead. Nantes equalized through Ludovic Blas in the second half, and despite several close chances, Juventus failed to score the winning goal.

Meanwhile, six-time Europa League champions Sevilla produced an impressive performance in their 3-0 home win against PSV Eindhoven.

Sevilla has had a difficult season after being knocked out of the Champions League and winning only six matches in all competitions.

In Lisbon, Portuguese champions Sporting had to fight back to draw 1-1 at home with Denmark's Midtjylland. Sporting dominated the game but struggled to convert their dominance into goals.

Midtjylland scored a long-range goal through Emam Ashour in the 77th minute, but Sporting managed to rescue a draw right on full-time thanks to a scrambled close-range effort by Sebastian Coates.

Finally, Monaco captain Axel Disasi scored a stoppage-time goal to earn his team a 3-2 win at Bayer Leverkusen in their first leg.

Monaco took an unexpected lead in the ninth minute, but Leverkusen struck twice in the second half to go ahead. Monaco levelled through Krepin Diatta's goal in the 74th minute before Disasi scored the winning goal at the death. Monaco came into the match on the back of a 3-1 Ligue 1 win over Paris St Germain.
