Sporting Lisbon v Juventus

In an exciting Europa League quarterfinal clash on Thursday, Italian giants Juventus drew 1-1 with Sporting, winning the tie 2-1 on aggregate to secure a spot in the semifinals.

Juventus will now face off against Sevilla in a highly anticipated showdown on May 11 and 18.

The match started in Juventus' favour as midfielder Adrien Rabiot found the back of the net from close range after just nine minutes, capitalizing on a corner to give his team an early lead.

However, Sporting quickly responded with winger Marcus Edwards converting a penalty in the 20th minute, sending Juve keeper Wojciech Szczesny the wrong way to equalize the scoreline after Rabiot was penalized for a tackle on Manuel Ugarte.

The intensity of the game continued into the second half, with Sporting pressing confidently for possession and creating several opportunities to level the tie. Sporting failed to find the back of the net again, allowing Juventus to hold on to their aggregate lead and secure their place in the semifinals.

Juventus will now face Sevilla, who knocked out Manchester United with a convincing 5-2 aggregate win, in the semifinals. The upcoming clashes between Juventus and Sevilla are expected to be thrilling encounters as both teams vie for a spot in the final of the prestigious Europa League competition.

Football fans around the world are eagerly anticipating these matchups, which are set to take place on May 11 and 18.
