Ugandan President, Yoweri Museveni has won the country's 2021 election - a sixth term as president.
The 76-year-old who has been in power since 1986 won 58.6.% of the vote while his nearest rival Robert Kyagulanyi, widely known as Bobi Wine, took 34.8%, the election commission said on Saturday.
Museveni had campaigned for another term arguing his long experience makes him a good leader.
"The electoral commission declares Yoweri Museveni … elected president of the republic of Uganda,” said Chairman Justice Simon Mugenyi Byabakama.
Bobi Wine, a singer-turned-lawmaker said on Friday he had video proof of voting fraud and would share the videos as soon as internet connections were restored.
The 38-year-old accused Museveni of fabricating the results and called the poll “the most fraudulent election in the history of Uganda”.

Meanwhile, the head of the African Union (AU) observer team, Samuel Azuu Fonkam, told reporters he could not say whether the election had been free and fair, drawing attention to the “limited” AU mission which largely focused on the capital, Kampala.
Asked about Wine’s allegations of rigging, he said he could not “speak about things we did not see or observe.”
