A 38-year-old woman has been charged with two counts of attempted murder following a suspected poisoning incident in East Sussex.
Emergency services rushed to a residence in Hunters Way, Uckfield, early Thursday morning, responding to reports of two children, aged nine and 13, along with a woman, requiring medical attention.
The gravity of the situation prompted swift action, leading to the arrest and subsequent charging of Jilumol George, a resident of Hunters Way, with attempted murder and administering poison with intent to endanger life.
The case took a serious turn as Jilumol George appeared before Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody.
A force spokesperson said; “Following inquiries, Jilumol George, 38, of Hunters Way, Uckfield, was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of administering poison with intent to endanger life or inflict grievous bodily harm.
“She has been remanded in custody to appear before a crown court to be fixed on Friday 8 March.”
