Several explosions have shaken the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, as the city experiences its 15th Russian air attack this month.
Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported a missile being shot down near Kyiv, assuring the public that the air defence system is actively responding to the threat.
The blasts were heard across various districts on Monday, including the historic neighbourhood of Podil, where falling debris caused damage to a residential property.
Preliminary information from the mayor and the city's military administration indicates that there were no casualties resulting from the attacks.
The assault, a combination of missiles and drones, follows the previous night's extensive drone barrage on Kyiv, which tragically claimed one life and left several others wounded.
Reports from the Kyiv Independent news website reveal that the majority of the intercepted drones were Iranian-made Shahed loitering munitions.
